Here's a question we all have thought about. With motherhood comes that mama bear protectiveness because that's what we do ... we take care of our little ones. But we know we can't control everything and there is more and more of that as they get older. Naturally, we fear the things we can't control. Can you relate to these mamas?
We asked our Mighty Mamas to share their thoughts and here is what they said.
IN THINKING ABOUT YOUR CHILD(REN)'S FUTURE, WHAT, IF ANYTHING, ARE YOU MOST FEARFUL/ANXIOUS ABOUT?
"This question stirs a lot of things inside me. I am fearful for my child to be put out into the world. I feel that man is inherently good, but the world is just in a bad place right now. I fear for her safety. I am very anxious for her to be on her own, whether she be at school or a friend's house."
"The state of the world that we live in. It's scary to think about how terrifying the world can be and what we're leaving for our kids."
"I think after you have kids you do nothing but worry. My biggest worry is that they'll be pressured by friends and make bad choices. I know they will make mistakes along the road, but I hope they remember to be strong and do the right thing."
"Both of my kiddos will be starting Preschool soon. I have been a Stay at Home Mom for almost 3 years now. I am afraid I will feel like I will not be able to spend enough time with my children after they start school. I fear something will happen to them at school, and I won't be there to help them. I fear their school will not challenge them enough. I wonder what I am going to do with my time. Those are just a few of my fears! There is tons of anxiety that surrounds them going to school."
"The unknown world that we are now living in. All of the innocent violence that is happening around us, it scares me knowing that I can't always protect my family from it."
"I try not to be very fearful and just enjoy the now, but I have to admit that sometimes I get these really scary thoughts that he might get really sick and we might lose him."
