MIGHTY MAMAS SHARE WHY THEY ARE PROUD OF THEIR KID(S)

One of the great things about being a mama is the times we can be proud of something our child has done.  Whether it's something that took lots of effort to learn, or some wonderful new surprise, it's always great to have things we are proud of our children for.  I know I have been proud of my kids for things like getting dressed independently, singing a new song, or showing compassion to a friend.

We asked our Mighty Mamas to share their thoughts and here is what they said.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU ARE PROUD OF YOUR CHILD(REN) FOR HAVING DONE?

"Well, I am still a new mom. My daughter is very young. I am so very proud of her for sitting up on her own, learning to crawl, and trying her best to stand! She has such a spunk and a sweet demeanor that I just adore. I am proud of everything she accomplishes, even if she is just 5 months old."

Brooke, Mom to one, Nurse and Stay at Home Mom

"I am proud that my 4yo is learning to manage his emotions. He has big emotions like I do and I love that he is learning to show emotion but not let the big ones take over."

Sara, Mom to two, Writer and Educator

"Surviving. That may sound silly, but in being born 10 weeks premature the odds were against them. They were fighters and pulled though and are happy and healthy today. They have already overcome obstacles that most children luckily never experience. And that makes this Mama super proud."

Angela, Mom to three, Stay at Home Mom and Blogger

"I am proud of my children for respecting others. Living in another country requires respecting the other culture and other people. My children are pretty much rockstars at trying to respect the culture we live in even though they don't fully understand it. They greet people and try their best to speak Thai to them. I am so proud of my littles!"

Brittany, Mom to two, Missionary

"My son is two and he is fond of blowing kisses. Whenever we leave somewhere, he will blow kisses to those we are leaving and tell them to "catch it". The smiles that his positive gesture brings to those around us is priceless."

Sheila, Mom to one, CPA and Fitness Coach

"He is still very small so as the typical new mom I am proud of every (little or big) milestone! However, I am especially proud of the fact that he is very flexible and easily adjusts to new places or situations. I think this is partly due to the fact that soon after he got born my dad got really sick so from a really young age he has been traveling a LOT (at some point we went every 2 weeks for a few days to the Netherlands)."

Tineke, Mom to one, Project Manager
