Let's dream for a minute. Forget about what you need to do and think only of the things you want to do. You have the day to spend any way you choose. Snuggles, spa, sleep, exotic lands, close friends, family, a book, anything you can think of. How would your dream day go? Mine would probably include family, friends, horses, and mountains. And chocolate. Because chocolate.
We asked our Mighty Mamas to share their thoughts and here is what they said.
IF YOU COULD SPEND A SINGLE DAY ANY WAY YOU CHOOSE, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
"I would wake up with my husband and daughter in an oceanfront room at the beach. We would spend the day on the beach and at the pool, and then spend the evening having dinner and strolling the boardwalk. The beach is such a peaceful, serene place and truly has always been my favorite."
"My day would start with sleeping in after an uninterrupted night's sleep. I'd probably go grab a Starbucks and get a pedicure. I'd catch up on some TV in the afternoon and then grab dinner and drinks with my girlfriends."
"Oh my goodness! How amazing would that be? There's literally 100 things I think I'd do. Go shopping. Get a mani/pedi. Go to a movie alone. Eat out alone. Lay in the hammock all day reading one of the 30 books I've bought, but haven't had the chance to read.
I love my kids and love spending time with them. A break, an entire day to myself though, would make me a better mother. This I know for sure."
"I would sleep in, uninterrupted, and not feeling guilty about it. I would get a massage and my nails done. Read a book. Then I would take my kids out for ice cream!"
"Honestly, I am living that day every single day right now, inspiring others to follow their dreams personally and/or professionally. It has taken me a while to get to a place where I could say that, but all of it has been totally worth it."
"We are big travel fans so it would probably be the 3 of us exploring a new place."
